A Brief Look At Online Pc Diagnostics

PC online diagnostics are online tools that diagnose and fix software and hardware issues with your computer.

We usually start to feel there may be a problem with our computer when it starts to act sluggish in one form or other. When this happens it seems to have a mind of it’s own. You start to notice it isn’t quite running as efficiently as it has in the past. It freezes and locks for no apparent reason, you have to constantly reboot, or strange windows keep popping up. All these are indications that it is time for online PC diagnostics.

Most of the pc online diagnostics sites want you to join first. It’s no problem because you can find a free site to meet your needs. Once you join, you are logged in and have access to run scans and tests to diagnose you computer’s problem. PC online diagnostics sites will scan and test your computer for various problems and then either repair them or tell you how to fix the problem yourself.

There are many free pc online diagnostic sites. One site I found particularly helpful was www.pcpitstop.com. You join the site for free and have access to online tests and scans. I like this site because you can run a full line of tests and scans on one site, if the scan or test finds a problem it will fix it or tell you how to fix it. They have what they call a full test suite. The full test suite will go through a whole battery of scans and tests to diagnose your computer.

The first thing they suggest on www.pcpitstop.com is to run the full pc tune up. This is to catch anything that may become a headache down the road. There are tests to optimize your computer, driver scans, running programs tests, spyware scan, anti virus scan, disk health, check activeX and scans to see if your computer is windows vista ready. If your computer has nagging issues you can post your issue on their forum for one of their techician experts to answer for your. This site also has "Help and Support Centers" on a topic or issue that may apply to your situation. I find this site to be quite comprehensive and easy to navigate. Its good for people like my self who know a little about computers but are not means experts. When you join they do ask for your level of computer competency so they can address you according to your computer knowledge level.

For Mac and Apple users fixing their computer with on line tests and scans are a little harder, because for the most part the bulk of online pc diagnostics are for window formats. What you have is the official apple site for computer support. The problem with this is you have to fish through tons of information to get to your problem. A lot of the information is technical and if you are not technically savvy then it could be a problem to resolve your issue. With Macs it is better to register with their company for telephone technical support.

There are also pc online diagnostic sites that charge a fee to purchase various tests to download when your computer is not functioning properly. I would exhaust the free scans and tests first before I go to a pay site. With these sites you get professional level testing which is good if the free sites cannot resolve your computer issues. Some pc online diagnostic sights will scan and run the tests for free but require a fee for fixing the problems.
